This year our missions conference theme focuses on the incredible power of the gospel and the God who is the Author of it.
The power of the gospel saves beyond limits (Romans 1:16) so that ‘whosoever will’ can come to Christ and be saved. The power of the gospel is not limited by the magnitude of anyone’s sin.
The power of the gospel reaches beyond limits (2 Corinthians 10:15-16) so that the gospel can be preached to the ‘regions beyond’. But notice that passage teaches us that this happens only as our faith is increased to further support missionaries. The power of the gospel is not limited by man-made borders.
The power of the gospel also enables giving beyond limits (2 Corinthians 8:3-4) so that we can give, as our faith increases, to help the gospel go continually further and save more souls. The power of the gospel is not limited by our finite resources.
As a church may we embrace the gospel power, by faith, and find ourselves enabled by that faith to help bring more tribes and tongues and individuals to Christ.
